This section contains amateur and professional cameras from the last part of the 20th Century that form part of my collection. The choices for late cameras are debatable, however most choices in this section are sophisticated mechanisms. Extremely precise engineering, proliferation of electronics and automatic features are present in most of the late cameras. Almost all of the advanced cameras have interchangeable lenses and have a host of available accessories to complete a “system”. A few cameras such as the Hasselblad and Nikon F could easily be positioned in the “Middle” section, however, these and other cameras have accessories, lenses and bodies that still work with the latest versions currently being manufactured. The biggest change in photographic equipment in the last decade of the century was the introduction of digital photography.
